About Seward County

Located in southeast Nebraska, Seward County is a vibrant community with a rich agricultural heritage. Its county seat, Seward, is known as Nebraska’s “4th of July City”, hosting the state’s largest fireworks display each year. The historic downtown square hosts local businesses and shops that reflect the community spirit and history of the area.

Seward County is known for its blend of agriculture, education, and community pride, which offers a welcoming environment for residents and newcomers alike. For both its residents and newcomers. The Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership (SCCDP) is a nonprofit organization driven by strong public and private sector collaboration. As the county’s sole economic development corporation, SCCDP serves as the unified voice for local business and economic advancement. SCCDP is the steward of Vision Statement 2035, a forward-looking roadmap that guides strategic growth and investment across Seward County.

Being a part of the Network allows us to connect with other forward-thinking communities, share resources, and access new opportunities to support local startups and attract talent. This membership will help us build a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem and position Seward County as a regional hub for innovation, unique amongst other rural counties our size.
